What sort of things do we get up to?

Every month we have a walk in the countryside exploring different setts in Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham.

We raise money for the group by taking part in a sponsored swim, bike rides and bric-a-brac stalls.

We publish our own magazine containing puzzles, articles, reports, competitions and high quality stories.

We are creating our own website.

We take part in building artificial setts for our orphaned badgers or we help the adults to protect setts with wire mesh.

We keep our eyes and ears open to prevent persecution of our badgers.

We help to feed badgers that have been orphaned.

Sometimes we are allowed to go badger watching!!!!

How do I get started?

You can begin by filling in the form and sending it to me. I would be really interested in why you want to join and what you think you can bring to the group. Click on the right for your membership form

What will happen next?

I will be in contact with you and arrange an evening when I can come and visit your home and meet you and your parents. I will tell you more about what we do and why we have to do it. It will really help if you have a parent or two who would be willing to give you lifts to our meeting places especially a parent who would also like to get involved because you are going to need transport all over South Yorkshire!!!!

If we decide that it is right for you to join the group I will take you out for a days training to show you the signs we learn to look for to check if badgers are safe and thriving.

REMEMBER it is not what the badger group can do for you , it is what you can do for the badgers. They need help!!!!
